Excerpt from Minutes of the Seventy-Fourth Annual Session: Of the Alabama Baptist Association, Held With Steep Creek Church, Lowndes Country, Ala Your committee on Home and State Missions beg leave to report that according to the statistics of the Baptist State Convention the spirit of mis sions is on the increase, although we as an association according to the letters from the churches have done but little; but we think the brethren and sisters are becoming more interested in the spirit of giving. May we as one man pray the Lord that we may be more zealous in giving, for we are taught in God's word that in order that we might be saved. He gave his only son. Respectfully submitted.
