Kids San Diego Poetry Annual 2023

This year's Kids! San Diego Poetry Annual features 37 poems from children and pre-teenagers, ages 5 to 12, plus a dozen drawings produced in workshops led by premier poet-teachers and hosted both in person and remotely.

This inaugural volume of the Kids! San Diego Poetry Annual features the work of pre-teenagers, ages 4 through 12. Their poems were produced in 12 workshops held from June through August, led by professional poet-teachers and hosted by public libraries throughout our region.

This second edition of the Kids! San Diego Poetry Annual features 183 poems and 60 drawings from 147 pre-teenagers, ages 5 to 12. Their poems and drawings were produced in 14 summer workshops led by professional poet-teachers and hosted by public libraries and Boys and Girls Clubs throughout our region.

The 2nd Edition of the San Diego Poetry Annual continues the tradition of celebrating the talent, diversity and perseverance of poets who live, study, work or were born in San Diego County. Also included -- a special section of poems written during the Idyllwild Arts summer poetry program, 2007. Copies of this and the inaugural edition are donated in the name of contributing poets to public and college libraries throughout San Diego
