31st International Conference On Coastal Engineering

This proceedings contains papers presented at the 31st International Conference on Coastal Engineering, which has held in Hamburg, Germany (31 August - 5 September 2008). The proceeding is divided into five parts: Waves; Long Waves, Nearshore Currents, and Swash; Sediment Transport and Morphology; Coastal Management, Environment, and Risk; and Coastal Structures. Coastal Structures are undergoing renewal and innovation to better serve the needs of our society, from environmental co-existence and habitat enhancement to risk management. The CSt2011 conference is the sixth in a series that highlights coastal disaster preparedness and ocean utilization in a changing climate. The conferences have frequently yielded milestone works and highly cited references in the field.
