My story tells of the rise and fall of me. I have mapped out my life with some of the shenanigans and havoc me and my brother created over a lifetime of drinking and drugging. Surprisingly, I think we both turned out pretty good in the long run.

Written in the first person, An Innocent Man follows the life and time of Edgar Rice Baker from his childhood as he encounters all of the trappings, joys, and nuances of the Baby Boomer years. It was an age of innocence, when kids walked to school, when beer and liquor were the worst things your kids could get in to, and when getting a drivers license and a set of wheels (where the heater worked and the engine ran) were the most important first steps in transitioning to adulthood. I'm a Boomer, a Baby Boomer that is. A member of the Baby Boom Generation. We were born in the years after World War II. I'm proud to be a Boomer. We have made some great contributions to society. We brought you the proliferation and democratization of computing, the Internet, and mobile phones. We instituted far reaching social reforms, shattered the glass ceiling, and sounded the alarm about the environment. Just to name a few. This book is about what it was like growing up and making my way in the second half of the 20th century and early 21st century, and working in the computer industry during its formative stages and beyond. It's also about life's ups and downs. As you will see I have certainly had my share.About the AuthorWarren Kleiman was born in Rochester, New York. He has held various senior management positions with Xerox Corporation and the Eastman Kodak Company in the Rochester area, and served on a number of non-profit and for profit Boards over the years. Warren received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with high honors at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He lives in Pittsford, New York and is married to Francine Kleiman. Warren and Fran have three lovely daughters: Sara, Laura, and Anna.

Hello fellow Baby Boomers and those who would like to read a book that may explain your parents, grandparents, and some of your great grandparents. This is the story of one of these Baby Boomers, me. My book, A Boomer's Tale, is a fun and sometimes serious stroll through the life and times of me. I interject as much humor as I can, in the hope that I can entertain while educating you starting with my early childhood in the 50's coming of age in the 60's and 70's. My Marine Corps and Vietnam experiences, my post-military life growing a family along with a long-haul trucking career, up till today will entertain and educate. You fellow Boomers and Vietnam vets may see yourself in these pages. This is the kind of book I wish my parents and grandparents would have written, so I could have better known their lives. Foreword: Growing up in the 1960s near Chicago is depicted with wit and charm. Ed introduces the reader to the inside working of the adolescent male mind as he navigates dating and relationship ups and downs. Other Vietnam Era veterans will see themselves in this account and relate to the constant struggle to 'soldier on' when you don't feel like it. Baby Boomer Blitzkrieg (B3) is an entertaining recollection of the exciting and often tumultuous times experienced by a young Baby Boomer throughout the first 25 years of life. B3 provides the reader insights into how the American culture shaped Boomers' young lives and how a blitzkrieg of tens of millions of Boomers, in turn, shaped American culture in very dramatic ways. There were many humorous, entertaining, and unique things that Baby Boomers experienced relative to modern times. This book facilitates the reader's enjoyment of some memories that will provide a laugh or invoke some feelings of nostalgia. The hope is to live up to the caption under my high school yearbook picture: "Full of fun." In addition to entertaining Boomers, this book will be of interest to Boomer kids and grandkids who may wonder on occasion why their Boomer parents and grandparents behave in the way and hold the values that they do, oftentimes at odds with current thinking or even in conflict with today's cultural norms. There are countless life experiences that impacted Boomers' opinions and behaviors, many of which are captured in this writing.

Baby Boomers experienced a world growing up that is very different from the one we live in today. Some say it's better, and some say it's worse. We can all agree it's very different. These are humor columns about being a Baby Boomer. Baby Boomers came of age in a time when there were water fountains instead of hydration stations. Our childhood was filled with playing outside. When we were forced to stay inside it was tantamount to being punished. We spoke to people in person and understood body language. There was no cyber world. Playing a game depended on if the sports equipment owners were willing to share. Card games were played with real cards. We camped out without adults, went on bike hikes, swam in creeks and more. Now we're middle age or older. Our bodies are changing, and the world around us continues to make less and less sense. This book is about the many common things experienced by Baby Boomers. Just like the song from the group "The Who", I'm "Talkin' 'bout my generation.
