This is an open access book. As the biggest university in Jambi province, Indonesia, Universitas Jambi has played an essential role as a key-player in both human and natural resources development in Jambi province. We have successfully developed cooperation in all sectors of development in Jambi province, Indonesia. We have contributed to a variety of activities such as research, community services, consultancies, and training services and provided some experts to speed up the development of Jambi Province and Indonesia in general. Today, Jambi University consistently seeks innovative methods to participate more actively in an inter-discipline study for sharing research on green development in all areas of knowledge, science, and expertise. In doing so, the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Universitas Jambi hosted the fourth Green Development International Conference in 2022, carried out once every two years. This Conference aims to provide insightful information concerning the development of a number of innovations in science and technology that are environmentally friendly, covering the fields of technology, environment, agriculture, energy, health, Law, education, and humanities.

With the rapid increase of population, industrialization, urbanization, and the abuse of science and technology, environmental problems have showed an explosive development trend. Actions must be taken to ensure the rational exploitation and utilization of natural resources, prevent environmental pollution and ecological damage, and coordinate the relationship between environment and social development. Proceedings of 4th International Conference on Resources and Environmental Research (ICRER 2022) focuses on effective use of environmental resources, ecological restoration and remediation of degraded and polluted environment, and emission reduction technologies. This book brings the latest advances in resources and environmental research.

This book consists of selected papers from the 2022 4th International Conference on Environment Sciences and Renewable Energy, which was held as a fully virtual conference during May 27–29, 2022. The book overviews the latest progress in environmental and energy technologies with a specific focus on wind turbines and hydrogen production. In the field of environmental science, wastewater treatment, air pollution abatement, solid waste treatment, and general policy recommendations are discussed. Technology advances, especially in wastewater nutrients and micropollutant removal, are covered. In policy measures, cost allocations, optimum recycling strategies, and environmental footprint allocations of different environmental technologies are included. In the field of renewable energy, several hot topics, including solar cells, offshore floating wind turbines, and renewable energy resource potentials in different regions are considered.

This book gathers more than 150 peer-reviewed papers presented at the 5th INTBAU International Annual Event, held in Milan, Italy, in July 2017. The book represents an invaluable and up-to-date international exchange of research, case studies and best practice to confront the challenges of designing places, building cultural landscapes and enabling the development of communities. The papers investigate methodologies of representation, communication and valorization of historic urban landscapes and cultural heritage, monitoring conservation management, cultural issues in heritage assessment, placemaking and local identity enhancement, as well as reconstruction of settlements affected by disasters. With contributions from leading experts, including university researchers, professionals and policy makers, the book addresses all who seek to understand and address the challenges faced in the protection and enhancement of the heritage that has been created.

Large volume food processing and preparation operations have increased the need for improved sanitary practices from processing to consumption. This trend presents a challenge to every employee in the food processing and food prepara tion industry. Sanitation is an applied science for the attainment of hygienic conditions. Because of increased emphasis on food safety, sanitation is receiving increased attention from those in the food industry. Traditionally, inexperienced employees with few skills who have received little or no training have been delegated sanitation duties. Yet sanitation employees require intensive training. In the past, these employees, including sanitation program managers, have had only limited access to material on this subject. Technical information has been confined primarily to a limited number of training manuals provided by regulatory agen cies, industry and association manuals, and recommendations from equipment and cleaning compound firms. Most of this material lacks specific information related to the selection of appropriate cleaning methods, equipment, compounds, and sanitizers for maintaining hygienic conditions in food processing and prepara tion facilities. The purpose of this text is to provide sanitation information needed to ensure hygienic practices. Sanitation is a broad subject; thus, principles related to con tamination, cleaning compounds, sanitizers, and cleaning equipment, and specific directions for applying these principles to attain hygienic conditions in food processing and food preparation are discussed. The discussion starts with the importance of sanitation and also includes regulatory requirements and voluntary sanitation programs including additional and updated information on Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).

In this publication, 21 authors including business executives and civil-society activists from developing and developed countries, address the question of how to boost the financing of development. Issues discussed include: micro credit and large-scale project finance; gender and poverty; bridging the digital divide; local and global environments for investment; domestic and international taxation; trade expansion; debt relief; official development assistance; and reform of the United Nations.

The theme of the conference is "Reconstructing Morals, Education, and Social Sciences for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals". This theme was formulated due to several considerations. First, the symptoms of moral decline that have the potential to destroy the nation. Morals guide humanity towards truth and civilization. The phenomenon of the dehumanization process in the industrial era that pushed people to be part of abstract societies tends to ignore humanity. The education process as a humanitarian system is increasingly marginalized, especially during discussions about the industrial revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0. The conference placed six sub-themes for speakers and participants to share ideas, namely: Social Sciences and Laws, History and Cultural Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, Morals and Humanities, Policy, Politics, and Communication, Education. The committee has received 195 abstracts from prospective speakers. However, there are only 80 abstracts that are eligible to be presented at this conference.

We are proudly presenting the proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Social Sciences 2019 (ICSS 2019). It has focus on the relation of governance and sustainable development. The issue of governance, politics, policy and sustainable development is important today. Not only globally, but also Indonesia nationally to the local level. There are several important issues relating to this, both institutionally and the relationships between individuals and groups in supporting the agenda of sustainable development. More than 100 manuscripts were presented at this conference with more than 50 of them selected to be published in proceedings. We hope by this conference, discussions on the importance of sustainable development will increasingly become an important concern together. Brings better response from the government and social relations for development.
