Chiefly a record of the German and Swiss family of Brumbach/Brombach who started arriving in America in 1683 with Gerhard Brumbach to Hermanus Emanuel Brumbach who arrived in 1770. Gerhard settled probably in Germantown, Pennsylvania. Hermanus Brumbachs family settled in Virginia and Ohio. Descendants of others who arrived during that period lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, and elsewhere.
