The story of combat in South Vietnam,Republic of, with the men of a small unit known as a Mobile Reaction or "Mike Force". Their missions took place in the northern provinces, which were dubbed by the military as the 1st Combat Tactical Zone (1CTZ).From Rosemary's Point at Chu Lai, to Da Nang, to the Tuy Lon River and the White Mountains, across the Hai Van Pass to Phu Bai, Quang Tri City and on to the DMZ They were both recon and striker unit, sometimes just looking for intell, sometimes attacking and sometimes being attacked. Often deployed to reinforce a small camp or firebase. Sometimes workng as convoy security.Mostly it was just HOT! The Kunar Agribusiness Development Team (ADT) was created from volunteers from the 40th Infantry Division and Task Force Warrior of the California National Guard. ADTs are special units, which only exist in Afghanistan. The Kunar ADT supported Battle Space owners in the Kunar and Pech River valleys in north eastern Afghanistan. During the Kunar ADTs deployment between September 2009 and August 2010 they saw combat 19 times while working in remote villages. This book is the chronicle of the Kunar ADTs deployment and operations in support of counter insurgency (COIN) operations by working with farmers to stabilizing the economies of remote villages.
