In the deep woods of Pikes Landing, New York, on a Seneca reservation a girl is found murdered with an arrow through her heart. When they hear about the shocking death, Vivi and her father, Rabbi Hartman, find themselves in the middle of a mystery. There they find a violent standoff between the local townsfolk and the Seneca. The death of the girl may not be what it seems, and strange events keep happening. Unsure of who to trust, Vivi searches for the solution to the disturbing death, but finds danger instead!

Sacred Ground is the sequel to Death’s Bright Angel, Part One: The Prophecy. The novel incorporates characters from both the Blackthorn and Silverwood Trilogies., tying together all of the author's previous novels. There are two Time Streams: 2016 and 2018/19, so the past and present are juxtaposed. This book describes the resilience these families were in spite of the tragedies they experienced. Cemeteries surround this small community; so many, that if the cemeteries were an ocean, the community could be considered a peninsula.These families were subjected to the racial fury of the Deep South in the 1950s. Yet, they survived because they were on sacred ground. .
