This is a hearing of the Subcommittee on Mineral Resources Development and Production of the u.s. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. The hearing IS going to look at the issue of competitiveness of the natural gas industry, particularly here in New Mexico. We have an impressive group of witnesses to address this set of Issues. We have 11 Witnesses who are going to testify in three different panels. I want to ask each witness to limit his or her remarks to something in the range of five minutes, so we will have time to ask a few questions and also complete the hearing no later than o'clock. If anyone in the audience would like to submit their testimony, written testimony, we will be glad to take that, and we will leave the official record of the hearing open for another two weeks, so that testimony can be submitted.
