A General Outline Of Gods Economy And The Proper Living Of A God Man

The Bible reveals that God desires to impart Himself into man for His full expression. This plan, this divine economy, is initially presented in Genesis and is progressively unveiled throughout the Old and New Testaments. Its ultimate consummation is the New Jerusalem at the end of the book of Revelation. From beginning to end, God's desire to be joined to man for His expression fills the pages of the Bible. In The Divine Economy, Witness Lee traces the flow of God's economy, from the creation of man in Genesis to its consummation in Revelation. Like a river that flows without interruption, the divine economy includes not only the creation of man as a vessel to contain God, but also the major steps taken by Christ—incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection--in carrying out the divine economy. Through faith in Christ, redemption is applied to man and the Spirit is supplied in man as rivers of living water. In the divine economy, the rich experience and practical, daily enjoyment of God is the common portion of every believer. The believer's first step into a living enjoyment of God Himself is to see God's eternal plan, as presented in The Divine Economy.

In this book we have seen a number of crucial matters. First, we need to spend time in the Word every day, for the word in the Bible embodies God, Christ, the Spirit, and life. The word and the Spirit are composed of Christ, His terminating death, and His enlivening resurrection. Every portion in the Bible is either the word of the cross or the word of life. We also need to see that the Lord's recovery is simply the recovery of Christ Himself as everything to us. If we see this, we will drop all concepts, ways, activities, and organization and simply cleave to Christ in everything. Furthermore, we need to realize that God's economy is God coming into us and that godliness is God flowing out of us. If we see and practice these things, we will live under the law of freedom. We need to review all these matters, fellowship concerning them, and practice them until they are wrought into our being. Then the church will be uplifted and enriched and will grow unto maturity.

This book is intended as an aid to believers in developing a daily time of morning revival with the Lord in His word. At the same time, it provides a limited review of the Thanksgiving weekend conference held in Charlotte, North Carolina, November 22-25, 2018. The general subject of the conference was “The Reality of the Body of Christ.” Through intimate contact with the Lord in His word, the believers can be constituted with life and truth and thereby equipped to prophesy in the meetings of the church unto the building up of the Body of Christ.

This book is intended as an aid to believers in developing a daily time of morning revival with the Lord in His word. At the same time, it provides a limited review of the semiannual training held July 3-8, 2023, in Anaheim, California, on “An Overview of the Central Burden and Present Truth of the Lord’s Recovery before His Appearing.” Through intimate contact with the Lord in His word, the believers can be constituted with life and truth and thereby equipped to prophesy in the meetings of the church unto the building up of the Body of Christ.

At the same time, it provides a limited review of the International Chinese-speaking Conference held in Anaheim, California, February 15-17, 2019. The subject of the conference was “Living in the Reality of the Body of Christ by Keeping the Principles of the Body.” Through intimate contact with the Lord in His word, the believers can be constituted with life and truth and thereby equipped to prophesy in the meetings of the church unto the building up of the Body of Christ.

This book is intended as an aid to believers in developing a daily time of morning revival with the Lord in His word. At the same time, it provides a review of the July 2002 summer training on the God-ordained Way. This training covered the book Lessons on the God-ordained Way. Through intimate contact with the Lord in His word, the believers can be constituted with life and truth and thereby be equipped to prophesy in the meetings of the church unto the building up of the Body of Christ.

The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1994-1997, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from January 9, 1994, through April 19, 1995. In 1994 and 1995 Brother Lee spoke fifty-four messages that were published in the Life-study of 1 and 2 Kings, Life-study of 1 and 2 Chronicles, Life-study of Ezra, Life-study of Nehemiah, Life-study of Esther, Life-study of Proverbs, Life-study of Ecclesiastes, and Life-study of Song of Songs. These messages are not included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee. During the entire period of 1994 until his death in 1997, Brother Lee ministered in Anaheim, California. The contents of this volume are divided into eleven sections, as follows: 1. Four messages given on January 9 through September 11, 1994. These messages are included in this volume under the title God Becoming Man to Make Man the Same as He Is for His Highest Testimony. Two of the messages were combined. 2. Four outlines and two messages given on February 19 and 20, 1994. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Dispensing, Transformation, and Building of the Processed Divine Trinity in the Believers and are included in this volume under the same title. 3. A personal note written on May 9, 1994. This note is included in this volume under the title A Personal Note by Witness Lee concerning the Burden of His Ministry. 4. Two messages given in Anaheim, California, on May 16 and June 25, 1994. These messages are included in this volume under the title Fellowship with Full-time Trainees. The first message was spoken in Chinese. 5. Four messages given on May 17 through 20, 1994. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The High Peak of the Vision and the Reality of the Body of Christ and are included in this volume under the same title. 6. Five messages given on May 27 through 30, 1994. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Practical Points concerning Blending and are included in this volume under the same title. 7. Nine messages given on July 3 through 9, 1994. These messages are included in this volume under the title Pre-meeting Fellowship during the Semiannual Training on the Life-study of 1 and 2 Kings. 8. Four messages given on July 8 and 9, 1994. These messages were previously published in a book entitled Living a Life according to the High Peak of God's Revelation and are included in this volume under the same title. One of the messages was divided into two chapters. 9. Twenty-seven messages given on August 24, 1994, through April 19, 1995. These messages were previously published in a book entitled Crystallization-study of the Epistle to the Romans and are included in this volume under the same title. Two of the messages were combined. 10. A message given on September 3, 1994. This message is included in this volume under the title The Best Marriage. 11. Six messages given on October 18 through 21, 1994. These messages were previously published in a book entitled A General Outline of God's Economy and the Proper Living of a God-man: a Fellowship with the Elders from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia and are included in this volume under the same title.
