This workbook is revision to the workbook of the same title first published in 1967. Although Gaussian modeling has limitations, much of the air quality simulation modeling being done today to estimate impact of proposed sources in response to regulatory requirements is Gaussian. The intent of the workbook is 1) to provide an introduction to the bases for dispersion calculations and to dispersion modeling to those that need a starting point in this subject area, and 2) to provide a ready reference to dispersion equations and example calculations for air quality professionals already familiar with dispersion.
