Excerpt from Theories of Solutions The following lectures on Theories of Solutions were given at Yale University in New Haven during the spring of 1911. Before they are sent to press, it is a great privi lege for me to be allowed to use this opportunity of telling President Hadley and the authorities of the University how much I am indebted to them for their great kindness during my very pleasant and instructive Visit to the old University-town of New England.
