Many Christians think of end times prophecy as a gigantic, intimidating puzzle -- difficult to piece together and impossible to figure out. But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.

The final book of the Bible, Revelation prophesies the ultimate judgement of mankind in a series of allegorical visions, grisly images and numerological predictions. According to these, empires will fall, the "Beast" will be destroyed and Christ will rule a new Jerusalem. With an introduction by Will Self.

To read the book of Revelation is to see a myriad of representations pass by our gaze, offering and kaleidoscope of bizarre and incongruent images. This world strikes us at first as fearfully and mysteriously strange and fantastic. But once these symbols are properly deciphered, they combine to present crucial messages for those living in the last days. These messages were designed by God to lead all successfully through these troubled times if they will read, hear, and do his will. This commentary presents a comprehensive analysis of John's book aided by the lens of LDS doctrine and Mormon experience. God delivered his messages in the form of images housed within discrete visions, with each symbol explaining, exposing, or emphasizing various aspects of the message conveyed. The challenge is getting beyond the symbols to the represented realities. Information is drawn from all the Standard Works, the Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible, and from modern Prophets and Apostles.

My soul is in anguish. How long, O Lord, how long?' (Psalm 6:8) Personal tragedy and heartache. Accident, illness and infirmity. Drought, earthquake, tsunami. Terrorist atrocities. War, genocide, poverty, famine. All we have to do is live long enough, and we will suffer in one way or another. In this new edition of an excellent, widely appreciated study, Don Carson addresses the issue of evil and suffering with sensitivity, pastoral concern and biblical insight. He helps Christians prepare for the day when they have to experience a 'frowning providence', and face it with faith and hope because of an unshakable trust in the providence of God.

The strongest warning Jesus gives to the church deals with the issue of deception. It should be no surprise Satan's primary goal includes planting seeds of doubt in the minds of people concerning the truth of God's word. When a person rejects the spiritual truths recorded in the Bible, the end result always leads to deception having eternal consequences. In Ecclesiastes, Solomon warns all people willing to listen, civilizations have historically struggled with the same types of sins, and people tend to repeat mistakes in life over and over again. Solomon brings up the truth history repeats itself. Any nation forgetting the mistakes of their past is doomed to repeat them and fall from within. A key spiritual truth Solomon stresses most people fail to recognize, is the cataclysmic events recorded in the Old Testament such as the Flood, the Exodus, and the destruction of Sodom, were literal events meant as prophetic pictures of cataclysms repeating themselves again. According to Solomon, these events recorded in the Old Testament should not be taken as mere allegorical stories. These stories should be viewed as literal historical events, intended as prophetic warnings of future worldwide catastrophes coming upon the earth. A detailed description of these events is laid out as a warning for all people in Revelation. Jesus warns many people have eyes that cannot see, and ears that are unable to hear. This book will give the reader biblically backed responses pertaining to these Old Testament events, explaining how they are prophetic pictures of future events being repeated on earth. We truly serve a God who loves people so much, He goes to great lengths warning all people of the eternal consequences of rejecting the love and grace God freely offers. Most people even in the church, will be shocked when they finally understand the information the Bible is really trying to tell them. The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9, KJV)
