The Sea Hawk

Oliver Tressilian, a Cornish gentleman who helped the English defeat the Spanish Armada, is betrayed by his ruthless half-brother and seeks refuge in the Middle East, where he takes on a new role as a Barbary pirate.

Sir Oliver Tressilian , a Cornish sea-faring gentleman, was betrayed by his jealous half-brother. He was then forced to serve as a slave on a Spanish Galley, but was soon liberated by Barbary pirates. After deciding to join the pirates, they give him the name "Sakr-el-Bahr" which means the hawk of the sea. Sakr-el-Bahr swears vengeance against his brother for his evil wrongdoings.

European waters are rife with mighty naval battles – not least the renowned Battle of Amalfi of 1527. Yet for Admiral Andrea Doria, the battles confronts are not confined to sea alone. The House of Dorian is plagued with conflict, both within and without, and Andrea finds that he has very real enemies in his midst.

Screenplay

The cousins are headed to the sandy beaches off the Gulf Coast for their yearly family vacation. The four older boys, Hudson, Jackson, Colt, and Griffin join Addie on a large float in the ocean having fun in the sun and surf. They are unaware, however, that the riptide is carrying them further out to sea. Far from the beach the cousins find themselves surrounded by several large ocean predators. Their hopes are sinking fast.

Finn, who was good at finding things on the ocean floor, jumped into the water to look for the bucket. He looked in seaweed beds and behind rocks, but he couldn't see it anywhere. Then, just as he was about to give up, he noticed something in the distance. Swimming closer, he saw a fishing net wrapped around a piling...and there, caught in the net, was a very frightened sea turtle. Finn knew he had to work fast, but would he be able to free the turtle in time? The last thing Finn expects is a life-and-death adventure beneath the waves. After unexpectedly coming across a trapped sea turtle, Finn does what heroes do: he selflessly jumps into action to save the turtle's life. Finn discovers that being ordinary doesn't mean you're unable to do extraordinary things. Many regular everyday heroes give of themselves to help others and save lives, no matter how ordinary they may think they are.
