Beyond the Brain seriously challenges the existing neurophysiological models of the brain. After three decades of extensive research on those non-ordinary states of consciousness induced by psychedelic drugs and by other means, Grof concludes that our present scientific world view is as inadequate as many of its historical predecessors. In this pioneering work, he proposes a new model of the human psyche that takes account of his findings. Grof includes in his model the recollective level, or the reliving of emotionally relevant memories, a level at which the Freudian framework can be useful. Beyond that is perinatal level in which the human unconscious may be activated to a reliving of biological birth and confrontation with death. How birth experience influences an individual's later development is a central focus of the book. The most serious challenge to contemporary psycho-analytic theory comes from a delineation of the transpersonal level, or the expansion of consciousness beyond the boundaries of time and space. Grof makes a bold argument that understanding of the perinatal and transpersonal levels changes much of how we view both mental illness and mental health. His reinterpretation of some of the most agonizing aspects of human behavior proves thought provoking for both laypersons and professional therapists.

Cantor D’Ahma waited his whole life for this day. Born with a gift to jump between worlds, the young realm walker is finally ready to leave his elderly mentor and accept his role as protector and defender of the realms. But mere hours after he steps through his first portal, Cantor discovers that his job will be more dangerous and difficult than he ever imagined. The realms are plagued with crime and cruelty, and even members of the once-noble Realm Walkers Guild can no longer be trusted. To make matters worse, his first assignment—finding a dragon to assist him on his quest—has led him to Bridger, who is clearly inept and won’t leave him alone. With the help of his new friends Bixby and Dukmee, Cantor must uncover the secrets of the corrupt guild before they become too powerful to be stopped. But his skills aren’t progressing as fast as he would like, and as he finds himself deeper and deeper in the guild’s layers of deceit, Cantor struggles to determine where his true allegiance lies.

A manual for opening the doors of perception and directly engaging the intelligence of the Natural World • Provides exercises to directly perceive and interact with the complex, living, self-organizing being that is Gaia • Reveals that every life form on Earth is highly intelligent and communicative • Examines the ecological function of invasive plants, bacterial resistance to antibiotics, psychotropic plants and fungi, and the human species In Plant Intelligence and the Imaginal Realm, Stephen Harrod Buhner reveals that all life forms on Earth possess intelligence, language, a sense of I and not I, and the capacity to dream. He shows that by consciously opening the doors of perception, we can reconnect with the living intelligences in Nature as kindred beings, become again wild scientists, nondomesticated explorers of a Gaian world just as Goethe, Barbara McClintock, James Lovelock, and others have done. For as Einstein commented, “We cannot solve the problems facing us by using the same kind of thinking that created them.” Buhner explains how to use analogical thinking and imaginal perception to directly experience the inherent meanings that flow through the world, that are expressed from each living form that surrounds us, and to directly initiate communication in return. He delves deeply into the ecological function of invasive plants, bacterial resistance to antibiotics, psychotropic plants and fungi, and, most importantly, the human species itself. He shows that human beings are not a plague on the planet, they have a specific ecological function as important to Gaia as that of plants and bacteria. Buhner shows that the capacity for depth connection and meaning-filled communication with the living world is inherent in every human being. It is as natural as breathing, as the beating of our own hearts, as our own desire for intimacy and love. We can change how we think and in so doing begin to address the difficulties of our times.

Scientific evidence for the continual presence of consciousness with or without connection to a living organism • Examines findings on the survival of consciousness beyond life, including near-death experiences, after-death communication, and reincarnation • Explains how this correlates precisely with cutting-edge physics theories on superstrings, information fields, and energy matrices • Reveals how consciousness manifests in living beings to continue its evolution Evidence now points to consciousness existing beyond the brain, such as when the brain is temporarily incapacitated, as well as to the survival of consciousness after death. Conventional science prefers to dismiss these findings because they cannot be accommodated by a materialist view of reality. Spirituality and religion embrace the continuity of consciousness and ascribe it to a nonmaterial spirit or soul that is immortal. As such, spirituality/religion and science continually find conflict in their views. But what if there truly is no conflict? Based on a new scientific paradigm in sync with experience-based spirituality, Ervin Laszlo and Anthony Peake explore how consciousness is continually present in the cosmos and can exist without connection to a living organism. They examine the rapidly growing body of scientific evidence supporting the continuity of consciousness, including near-death experiences, after-death communication, reincarnation, and neurosensory information received in altered states. They explain how the persistence of consciousness beyond the demise of the body means that, in essence, we are not mortal--we continue to exist even when our physical existence has come to an end. This correlates precisely with cutting-edge physics, which posits that things in our plane of time and space are not intrinsically real but are manifestations of a hidden dimension where they exist in the form of superstrings, information fields, and energy matrices. With proof that consciousness is basic to the cosmos and immortal in its deeper, nonmanifest realm, Laszlo and Peake reveal the purpose of consciousness is to manifest in living beings in order to continuously evolve.

Cognition Beyond the Brain challenges neurocentrism by advocating a systemic view of cognition based on investigating how action shapes the experience of thinking. The systemic view steers between extended functionalism and enactivism by stressing how living beings connect bodies, technologies, language and culture. Since human thinking depends on a cultural ecology, people connect biologically-based powers with extended systems and, by so doing, they constitute cognitive systems that reach across the skin. Biological interpretation exploits extended functional systems. Illustrating distributed cognition, one set of chapters focus on computer mediated trust, work at a construction site, judgement aggregation and crime scene investigation. Turning to how bodies manufacture skills, the remaining chapters focus on interactivity or sense-saturated coordination. The feeling of doing is crucial to solving maths problems, learning about X rays, finding an invoice number, or launching a warhead in a film. People both participate in extended systems and exert individual responsibility. Brains manufacture a now to which selves are anchored: people can act automatically or, at times, vary habits and choose to author actions. In ontogenesis, a systemic view permits rationality to be seen as gaining mastery over world-side resources. Much evidence and argument thus speaks for reconnecting the study of computation, interactivity and human artifice. Taken together, this can drive a networks revolution that gives due cognitive importance to the perceivable world that lies beyond the brain. Cognition Beyond the Brain is a valuable reference for researchers, practitioners and graduate students within the fields of Computer Science, Psychology, Linguistics and Cognitive Science.

Human unconsciousness, which is identification with thought activity, human emotions, and the thinking mind, is the only source of ALL the evil on planet Earth. All evil is the result of humanity living in darkness, not knowing who they are in their essence, beyond their earthly names and physical forms, which causesthem to identify with the world of materiality. The only solution to the darkness of humanity is the light of consciousness, which is disidentification from egoic mind structures, going with the flow of life instead of fighting against it, acceptance of what is, and surrendered action. As we continue to transform individually, the entire world is transformed, because in essence, we are all ONE. Each ONE affects the whole, causing World Transformation through the concept of ONENESS by way of the ONE spiritual energetic force that moves through ALL beings. All organized religions were created by men to condition the masses to think in a certain way, or to point beyond religious belief structures to the Infinite, the formless consciousness we call God. Accepting organized religion as the absolute truth instead of relative truth is the foundation for division and the destruction of the planet. Without the transformation of human consciousness, humans will destroy themselves, each other, and the planet, and are already doing so. If humanity continues to blindly believe the media, organized religion, and all the conditioning tools of the powerful ruling Elite who run the world, without doing their own research, they will be destroyed through lack of knowledge. World Transformation: A Guide To Personal Growth And Consciousness is a transformative book that discusses over 110 life-changing topics to help spiritual seekers in their journeys in consciousness. Learn to be the awareness that is aware of and doesn't become all that you observe. World Transformation begins one person at a time. As you change, the whole world changes, because you are a part of the ONE Consciousness. Gandhi said, "be the change you want to see in the world." As you follow his advice, you become a positive force in the world. "One of the most important books of this generation!" "One of the most profound spiritual books ever written!!" Humanity will destroy themselves if they continue to blindly believe and follow the media, politicians, and organized religion, which are all used by the ruling Elite to control the masses. Most humans don't know what's going on because they allow entertainment, the media, and other brainwashing tools to control their thinking. Mark Twain said, "in religion and politics, people's beliefs and convictions are in almost every case gotten at second-hand, and without examination, from authorities who have not themselves examined the questions at issue, but have taken them at second-hand from other non-examiners, whose opinions aboutthem were not worth a brass farthing." Social, religious, and other forms of conditioning control the minds of humanity and will destroy them if they continue to accept ideals without analyzation. It is a fact that none of the major religious figures of organized religionactually existed. Their historicity is an unverifiable opinion. Daniel Patrick Moyniham said, "everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts." The existence of all the Saviour Gods are questionable. Humanity only believes in them because of religious conditioning. Humanity as a whole has lost their identity in the world of materiality, also known as the world of form, or the world of things. To identify with something means to mistake a person, place, or thing for who you are, the I AM before I AM a (teacher, lawyer, doctor, student, etc.) Humans have confused millions of forms for their identity. Your invisible indestructible eternal divine essence is consciousness. Common false identities humans mistake for who they are in essence are their jobs, cars, degrees, attractive spouse, belief systems, relationships, knowledge, physical appearance, education, clothes, jewelry, family history, brand names, social status, special ability, thoughts, residence, awards and achievements, race, religious or political affiliations, sports, music, and MILLIONS of other things in the external world.
