They treat of and embrace all the subjects of general interest to the city, and will no doubt re ceive at your hands such consideration and action as their respective exhibits warrant, added to which will be the natural accumulation of work of a legislative character now pending or to be brought before you during the brief remainder of your first stated session, of which but twelve days yet remain of the period allotted by charter. The structure will proba bly be ready for occupancy by August next. The foundations and basement of the addition to the City Hospital will be completed in a few weeks, and the super structure will be pushed rapidly during the summer months.
