My story tells of the rise and fall of me. I have mapped out my life with some of the shenanigans and havoc me and my brother created over a lifetime of drinking and drugging. Surprisingly, I think we both turned out pretty good in the long run.

It was an age of innocence, when kids walked to school, when beer and liquor were the worst things your kids could get in to, and when getting a drivers license and a set of wheels (where the heater worked and the engine ran) were the most important first steps in transitioning to adulthood. I'm a Boomer, a Baby Boomer that is. A member of the Baby Boom Generation. We were born in the years after World War II. I'm proud to be a Boomer. We have made some great contributions to society. We brought you the proliferation and democratization of computing, the Internet, and mobile phones. We instituted far reaching social reforms, shattered the glass ceiling, and sounded the alarm about the environment. Just to name a few. This book is about what it was like growing up and making my way in the second half of the 20th century and early 21st century, and working in the computer industry during its formative stages and beyond. Hello fellow Baby Boomers and those who would like to read a book that may explain your parents, grandparents, and some of your great grandparents. This is the story of one of these Baby Boomers, me.
