Everybody thought of me as the girl with the perfect life. Everybody thought that I was the beautiful blonde that made everybody smile. I, in fact, was fighting a battle inside my head every single day of my life. I was only 13 years old and the desire to die ate me alive until I gave in. I'm now 15 years old and I'm putting you in the shoes of living with depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. Life is full of surprises, so we have to be ready for everything it throws us. I came from a church home where I learned about the importance of trusting in God and the value of family. Like many others, my faith was tested when I was faced with some difficult obstacles. I somehow managed to keep everything a secret and turned away from God. I lost sight of who I was for a while. However, after going through those circumstances, I was able to reconnect myself with God and I learned how to forgive the people who hurt me and through the mist of it all, I even forgave myself.
