The FPC has undertaken a detailed review of timber supply and demand to ensure there are likely to be markets for each region's timber products into the future. The aim is to achieve world best practice in a Western Australia forest and timber industry that needs economies of scale to enable it to compete globally. Realising the vision of the Industry Development Plans will require a coordinated effort across all levels of Government, the private sector, Natural Resource Management (NRM) groups and industry bodies.
