the 3 March 1520, the Aztec priest Ghetumal delivery to the Spanish conquistadores Hernan Cortes a holy book. Ghetumal had found it a few years earlier under the statue of the goddess of rain. No one knows who wrote it, or when. In the book there is a prophecy about the future: on August 18, 2044 something will upset the world, and is a map to decipher to change the course of events. Los Angeles 2043. The explorer Matthew Lekos and Walden Green historian come into possession of the book.
