Burning Ones is a call to action. Christians will be encouraged and motivated to consider seriously stepping in the role of “burning ones” and “dread champions” to spread the Kingdom of God in the earth. Vivid and detailed descriptions of these champions are given throughout the book, supported with biblical examples and modern-day personal experiences, including real-life healings worldwide. Each of the seven chapters concludes with “Burning Questions” designed to stimulate thought and action, followed by a space for the reader to record “Your Response.” A “Prayer to Get You There” connects the reader with the Lord in a genuine way that caps the vital issues covered in the chapter.

BILL WILSON, Founder, Metro Ministries, Brooklyn NY: "I've always said that if people don't know your passion, you don't have one. You don't have to be around Steve Uppal long to learn what his is. I highly recommend this great resource." STUART BELL, Leader of the Ground Level Network, Senior Leader of New Life Lincoln: "It would be great if we could all be infected by the holy virus of this book " BOB SORGE, oasishouse.com: "This book has the potential to be a fire-starter in your life." Steve Uppal contends that a new breed of no-compromise Christian is being awakened across the land. In previous generations there have been notable examples - believers who saw God move in power through the completeness of their surrender to His Spirit. Smith Wigglesworth, George Muller, Kathryn Kuhlman and others were forerunners for what is to come. But now, rather than raising up individuals, God is raising an army of like-minded, passionate warriors. Your heart was created to burn - to be set aflame with the radiating glory of God's presence. For too long, too many have settled for much less than this. Now it is time to rise up and answer the call About the author STEVE UPPAL has been Senior Leader of All Nations Christian Centre, Wolverhampton, since 2001. It is a vibrant, growing church that reflects the diversity of the city. Steve has a growing apostolic ministry across a relational network of churches and a passionate commitment to the full Gospel. He is the author of Rousing the Warriors, One Life and The Burning Ones.

THOUGHT PROVOKING, IMAGINATIVE AND PACKS A HELL OF AN EMOTIONAL PUNCH.” —Adrian Tchaikovsky, author of Children of Time From one of the most imaginative writers of her generation comes an extraordinary vision of the future… Ven was once a holy man, a keeper of ancient archives. It was his duty to interpret archaic texts, sorting useful knowledge from the heretical ideas of the Burning Age—a time of excess and climate disaster. For in Ven's world, such material must be closely guarded so that the ills that led to that cataclysmic era can never be repeated. But when the revolutionary Brotherhood approaches Ven, pressuring him to translate stolen writings that threaten everything he once held dear, his life will be turned upside down. Torn between friendship and faith, Ven must decide how far he's willing to go to save this new world—and how much he is willing to lose. “A riveting tale of subterfuge and deadly self-indulgence” (Publishers Weekly, starred review) from award-winning author Claire North, Notes from the Burning Age puts dystopian fiction in a whole new light. Collections of scenes and texts designated variously as the "Book of the Earth," "Creation of the Solar Disc," and "Book of Aker" were inscribed on the walls of royal sarcophagus chambers throughout Egypt's Ramessid period (Dynasties 19-20). This material illustrated discrete episodes from the nocturnal voyage of the sun god, which functioned as a model for the resurrection of the deceased king. These earliest "Books of the Earth" employed mostly ad hoc arrangements of scenes, united by shared elements of iconography, an overarching, bipartite symmetry of composition, and their frequent pairing with representations of the double sky overhead. From the Twenty-First Dynasty and later, selections of programmatic tableaux were adapted for use in private mortuary contexts, often in conjunction with innovative or previously unattested annotations. The present study collects and analyzes all currently known Book of the Earth material, including discussions of iconography, grammar, orthography, and architectural setting.
