At Wroxham all the Wherry folk abide; And there, in August, by the waterside Gathered my venturers. The iron rail Brought Jim, his sire, and many a box and bale By God's good mercy. Armistice reprieved Jim's scanty years; although in secret grieved All proper lads, whose age was yet too tender For sacrifice, full eager to surrender Their all for England.
