This record is a compilation of the records of the People of Light. It is a history of the ancient people who once inhabited this land. It is compiled by the hand of Jeraneck a Prophet of God under the direction of God. It is written with the spirit of prophesy and revelation. It is compiled and given up to God to come forth in the latter days of the world before the coming of the Lord Almighty for the second time. It is sealed up and given unto God to come forth through the hands of his servant in the last days and through the power and will of God it will be translated by his servant for all the world to behold its testimony of the Lord God Almighty even the very Jesus that will be born of the virgin pure. This record is taken from the historical records of my people and I have compiled them onto twenty four sacred plates so that the world will know that we were worshipers of the Almighty God. Let no man condemn the words that are written upon this record for if there are faults or errors upon this record then they are of my making and not of Gods. For God is the Almighty One of Heaven and all things under him are perfect and pure.

What were the beliefs of the Branch Davidians? This is the first full scholarly account of their history. Kenneth G. C. Newport argues that, far from being an act of unfathomable religious insanity, the calamitous fire at Waco in 1993 was the culmination of a long theological and historical tradition that goes back many decades. The Branch Davidians under David Koresh were an eschatologically confident community that had long expected that the American government, whom they identified as the Lamb-like Beast of the book of Revelation, would one day arrive to seek to destroy God's remnant people. The end result, the fire, must be seen in this context.

The study of New Religious Movements (NRMs) is one of the fastest-growing areas of religious studies, and since the release of the first edition of The Oxford Handbook of New Religious Movements in 2003, the field has continued to expand and break new ground. In this all-new volume, James R. Lewis and Inga B. T?llefsen bring together established and rising scholars to address an expanded range of topics, covering traditional religious studies topics such as "scripture," "charisma," and "ritual," while also applying new theoretical approaches to NRM topics. Other chapters cover understudied topics in the field, such as the developmental patterns of NRMs and subcultural considerations in the study of NRMs. The first part of this book examines NRMs from a social-scientific perspective, particularly that of sociology. In the second section, the primary factors that have put the study of NRMs on the map, controversy and conflict, are considered. The third section investigates common themes within the field of NRMs, while the fourth examines the approaches that religious studies researchers have taken to NRMs. As NRM Studies has grown, subfields such as Esotericism, New Age Studies, and neo-Pagan Studies have grown as distinct and individual areas of study, and the final section of the book investigates these emergent fields.

Despite the fascinating nature of religious Satanism, it has attracted little scholarship until relatively recently. This book brings together a group of international scholars to produce the first serious book-length study of religious Satanism, presenting a collection that will have wide appeal to specialists and non-specialists alike. The first part contains broader studies of influential groups and important aspects of the Satanic milieu, especially regarding historical developments, the construction of tradition and issues of legitimacy. The second part narrows the view to regional variations, especially with studies on Northern and Eastern Europe. The third part consists of primary documents selected for their representational and informational value.

The work that is being presented in "The Book of Smokeless Fire" is based on a very little known and overlooked Solomonic text simply known as "Miscelaneo de Salomon," which amazingly mirrors that of Lovecraft's, "Necronomicon" both in content and history.
