Following Vox, a simple everyday man who spends his days doing clerical work. This fictional tale follows as this man contemplates life, charity, and the progress of the world. Though written as a work of entertainment, this book allowed readers at the time the chance to dive into the problems that plagued society from a more separated perspective while at the same time promoting discourse and debate about Christianity and its morals through the lens of its characters.
