Lisa love being a member of the Saddle Club. But lately, Stevie and Carole haven't had time for her or their friendship. And if she can'tconvince her friends that their club is just as important, she may have to find new members to replace them. . . .

The founders of The Saddle Club -- Stevie Lake, Carole Hanson, and Lisa Atwood -- gear up for the adventure of their lives when their friend Kate Devine invites them to her family's dude ranch. They will have a whole week of cowboy-style riding, plus the fun of making Kate a club member. But when they arrive, the girls soon realize there's more to the West than Hollywood shootout and colorful costumes. To show a cowhand that they're not just "dumb dudes," they pitch in with chores and help on a cattle roundup, where Stevie has a run-in with a dangerous rattlesnake. Another sour note for Stevie: Her birthday is coming up, and no one seems to care. Little does she know that her Saddle Club buddies have a top-secret surprise in the works for her!

Stevie Lake is in big trouble. She's failing classes and has to pull up her grades or it's summer school and no riding. She has one last chance to redeem herself: Write a report explaining why she hasn't done her schoolwork—and make the explanation good. She's serious and committed. She's going to get this assignment done if it kills her. Her friends will help with encouraging emails, phone calls—whatever it takes to get Stevie through this crisis. But it's up to Stevie—can she do it?

Lisa's great aunt gives her a diary in which to record her feelings, like when she feels frustrated at being labeled a beginning rider, when her friends don't understand her desire to be the very best, or when her mother drives her crazy.

Carole Hanson and Stevie Lake have been best friends ever since they met at Pine Hollow Stables. So when Lisa Atwood joins their ridinggroup, the girls aren't sure she's got what it takes. Lisa may be the smartest student in the classroom, but she's got a lot to learn when it comes to horses. . . .

THE SADDLE CLUB would do anything to help a friend in need. So when Stevie overhears Max on the phone mysteriously pleading for more time and more money, she, Lisa, and Carole, know what they need to do. Stevie, Lisa, and Carole form a club to share their love of horses. Only two rules govern the club. Members must always be horse crazy and members must always help each other. Together the three girls embark on many horse-centric adventures.

Pine Hollow is boarding some horses from a neighboring stable. One of the horses has special problems that require help from The Saddle Club. But first they have to figure out how to get the horse to tell them what's wrong.Meanwhile, Stevie's grandmother is visiting the Lakes, and everyone has resolved to be on their best behavior. Can Stevie and her brothers keep their resolution? And what happens when they learn that Granny likes the normal family chaos?

Tessa and Veronica are best friends? That's the way it looks. Instead of hanging out with the Saddle Club, Tessa is spending all her time with Veronica. They talk together, shop together, and even ride together! Veronica is thrilled and can already see herself invited back to England to meet the Royals. Stevie, Carole, and Lisa are confused. Have they lost one of their best friends to their worst enemy? Could it be that Veronica and Tessa have managed to bury the hatchet? Or is there something else going on?

Forming a horse-sitting business to earn some extra money, Lisa, Carole, and Stevie believe that their skills will make the business a breeze, but soon find themselves in way over their heads.
