What goes on in human beings when they make or listen to music? Mozart's Adagio and Rondo (K. 617) was written for the armonica, or musical glasses (a set of tuned glass bowls) and a quartet consisting of flute, oboe, viola, and cello. The music is effective played as an organ solo. The Adagio may be registered "forte," in the style of Mozart's Fantasia (K. 608). The Rondo should be played on the flute stops. Sonata no. 3 in C major is one of the first three Beethoven's sonatas (opus 2) written in 1795 and dedicated to Joseph Haydn. This UTEXT edition is based on early original editions, which Beethoven personally supervised. The fingerings are provided by the editor.
