Pet Lawaddresses all the issues surrounding the ownership and care of pets. An overview sets out the basic law as it relates to pet ownership, and separate chapters discuss topics including the right to own and house certain pets; the prohibition on cruelty; the laws governing travel with pets; animal importation; disease transmission prevention; impounded pets; pet custody; estate planning for the pet; licensing and leash laws; and the owner's liability for harboring a dangerous animal.
