Download Patriot Advanced Capability-Three (PAC-3) The First Deployable Hit-to-Kill Technology Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
The U.S. Army is upgrading its PATRIOT Air Defense Missile System with hit-to-kill technology. The improvements of the launching station, enagement control station and the addition of a hit-to-kill guided missile interceptor are managed under the PATRIOT Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Program, now three years into it's development contract. PAC-3 uses an extremely accurate on-board seeker and guidance system and an agile attitude control system to achieve a direct hit by the interceptor on the target. The hit-to-kill concept utilizes kinetic energy as its primary kill mechanism to disintegrate incoming tactical ballistic missiles and their warheads. PAC-3 is being executed within the most advanced defense acquisition reform policies. It uses the Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD) concept with government/contractor Integrated Product Teams (IPT). Streamlining of the establishment of the product baseline has been achieved by mutual agreement on design review scheduling and content. Extensive use of state-of-the-art modeling and simulation as well as exhaustive component testing are in combination the mechanism which is building confidence that the hit-to-kill technology is ready for production and deployment. This will provide substantial advancement in Army Theater Missile Defense (TMD) Active Defense force dominance.

Download 2019 Missile Defense Review Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
2019 Missile Defense Review - January 2019 According to a senior administration official, a number of new technologies are highlighted in the report. The review looks at "the comprehensive environment the United States faces, and our allies and partners face. It does posture forces to be prepared for capabilities that currently exist and that we anticipate in the future." The report calls for major investments from both new technologies and existing systems. This is a very important and insightful report because many of the cost assessments for these technologies in the past, which concluded they were too expensive, are no longer applicable. Why buy a book you can download for free? We print this book so you don't have to. First you gotta find a good clean (legible) copy and make sure it's the latest version (not always easy). Some documents found on the web are missing some pages or the image quality is so poor, they are difficult to read. We look over each document carefully and replace poor quality images by going back to the original source document. We proof each document to make sure it's all there - including all changes. If you find a good copy, you could print it using a network printer you share with 100 other people (typically its either out of paper or toner). If it's just a 10-page document, no problem, but if it's 250-pages, you will need to punch 3 holes in all those pages and put it in a 3-ring binder. Takes at least an hour. It's much more cost-effective to just order the latest version from Amazon.com This book includes original commentary which is copyright material. Note that government documents are in the public domain. We print these large documents as a service so you don't have to. The books are compact, tightly-bound, full-size (8 1/2 by 11 inches), with large text and glossy covers. 4th Watch Publishing Co. is a HUBZONE SDVOSB. https: //usgovpub.com

"[Seize the high ground is a] narrative history of the Army's aerospace experience from the 1950s to the present. The focus is on ballistic missile defense, from the early NIKE-HERCULES missile program through the SAFEGUARD acquisition site allowed by the 1972 ABM Treaty to the more advanced 'Star Wars' concepts studies toward the end of the century. [What is] covered is not only the technological response to the threat but the organizational and tactical development of the commands and units responsible for the defense mission"--CMH website.

Download The Last Thirty Seconds Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
In March 1983, as the world’s superpowers continued aggressively stockpiling nuclear weapons, President Ronald Reagan described his vision for a world no longer confronted with the concept of mutually assured destruction. A year later the Strategic Defense Initiative was established, followed soon after by the creation of the Strategic Defense Initiative Organization (SDIO). The SDIO was tasked with the development and coordination of missile technologies designed for the strategic defense against civilization’s most dangerous invention, one that carried with it the threat of nuclear destruction—intercontinental ballistic missiles. In The Last Thirty Seconds: A Brief History of the Evolution of Hit-to-Kill Technology, David K. Stumpf details the development of one of many possible solutions for ballistic missile defense commonly known as hit-to-kill. Hit-to-kill is a nonnuclear technique using kinetic energy, rather than explosives, to destroy reentry vehicles carrying chemical, biological, or nuclear warheads. It is the centerpiece of the United States’ current ballistic missile defense systems and has proven invaluable in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia as well as in the ongoing conflict with the Houthi rebels in the Red Sea. While much of the subject remains classified, this detailed study will be welcomed for its substantial references and the inclusion of newly declassified material.
