The collection contains subject files, committee records, administrative and student records from the plan of study program, and publications from the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies.

Consists of administrative records of the Vice President and Dean of Undergraduate Development in two series: Administrative files, 1958-1971, containing correspondence, memos, reports, and speeches; Student Affairs files, 1958-1970, containing correspondence, memos, reports, minutes, publications, and newspaper clippings pertaining to student activities on campus.

The correspondence primarily documents interaction between the Dean and other OSU offices and pertains to the organization of conferences, OSU research centers and institutes, and cooperation between OSU and regional community colleges. The committee records consist of correspondence and reports generated by university committees and address the topics of higher education for older women, new student programs, and the distribution and review of statements on student rights. The reports pertain to continuing education in Oregon and faculty instruction at OSU. The legal case file pertains to Economics Department faculty member Jeanne Dost and her complaint and legal action against the university. Series I in the microfilmed records pertains to the Mosser Plan for Awarding Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching and includes correspondence, articles and newspaper clippings, publications, and reports. The General Files include correspondence, grant proposals, meeting minutes, memoranda, newspaper clippings, and reports. Among the topics addressed in these records include the development of new academic programs and curricula, instructional use of television in the classroom, pesticide research, student employment, and the Peace Corps program.

Contains mostly incoming correspondence from prospective students, and Harvard College and Corporation officials among others. Also includes reports from committees on faculty, examinations, professorships, library, admission requirements, etc.; financial documents; faculty petitions; and lists of students. Subject files contain applications from prospective students, letters of recommendation, and material about admission of women and blacks.

The records of the Office of the Dean of Studies include annual reports, statistics, correspondence, committee minutes, budgets, proposals, advising and administrative procedures, and student applications. Information also contained in the documents include grants, fellowships, and scholarships as well as material about the Frances Perkins program, graduate study, the honor code, first years' orientation, transfer students, and study abroad programs. The records also document the Columbia Accelerated Program in Interdisciplinary Legal Education, DAAD (German Exchange Program), International Student Exchange Program, GTE Scholars Program, the Frances Harriet Williams Award, Mellon Fellowships, Twelve College Exchange, Beinecke Scholarships, Fulbright Grants, and the Luce Scholars Program.

Collection consists of 20.5 cubic feet of the Dean of Women's Office records spanning 1905-1945. Primarily correspondence, within this collection researchers can find a wealth of information on student life at Indiana University.

This collection consists of materials following the split of the Office of the Dean of Arts, Sciences and Engineering into two separate offices.

Dean Giesecke's subject files include details about the North Dakota Education Association conventions and Faculty College Council meeting minutes from 1949 to 1953. In addition there is information on the beginnings of the nursing degree program offered at NDAC. There are also several files related to the President's office, including correspondence, meeting minutes and university business.
