The dam is an earthfill embankment dam about 400 ft. long and 56 ft. high. The overall condition of the dam is considered fair because the embankment has exhibited settlement since its rebuilding in 1974, as well as erosion, seepage and leakage. The most important investigation is the assembly of documentation for the design of the dam. (Author).

Chase Pond Dam is a rock filled log crib with timber planking overflow structure between stone and concrete embankments. The overall length of the dam is 103 ft. The timber overflow section is approximately 12 ft. high by 50.5 ft. long and 10 ft. wide at the crest. The embankments, which are approximately 5.4 feet higher than the crest of the timber overflow section, are composed of masonry and concrete on the upstream and training wall faces. As a result of the visual inspection of this facility, the dam is considered to be in poor condition. The dam is small in size with a significant hazard classification. The dam at the outlet from Tannery Pond could be overtopped or breached. Keywords include: Inspection, Dam safety, Merrimack River Basin, Wilmot, New Hampshire, and Chase Pond.

It is small in size with a low hazard potential. The test flood is in the range of a 50 to 100 year frequency. The condition of the dam is considered to be fair, requiring that modifications be made by the owner within 1-2 years after receipt of this inspection report. Keywords include: Inspection, Dam safety, Merrimack River Basin, Sanbornton, New Hampshire, and Tributary of Pemigewasset River.

It is small in size with a significant hazard potential classification. It is in fair condition. Although there is no immediate concern, features revealed by this inspection do require attention. A formal sequenced operation plan for emergencies involving upstream and downstream dam operations should be developed and submitted to the NHWRB for review and comment.

Berry Pond Dam is an earth embankment 185 feet long and 12 feet high, with a stop-logged spillway, 11 feet wide and 7 feet high. The dam was superimposed in 1967 upon an earlier rock crib dam built in 1884. Three pipes penetrate the dam, two of which are abandoned. The operative pipe, a gated 8 in. line, regulates flow through a man-made channel to a downstream water supply reservoir for the Town of Pittsfield. It is small in size with a low hazard classification. The dam's condition is rated as fair but deficiencies were found in freeboard, in emergency discharge provisions, and in draw-down capability. Keywords include: Inspection, Dam safety, Merrimack River Basin, Pittsfield, New Hampshire, and Tributary to Suncook River.
