11 lectures, Stuttgart and Dornach, Dec. 23, 1919 - Aug. 8, 1921 (CW 320) Rudolf Steiner's course on light, which includes explorations of color, sound, mass, electricity and magnetism, presages the dawn of a new worldview in the natural sciences that will stand our notion of the physical world on its head. This "first course" in natural science, given to the teachers of the new Stuttgart Waldorf school as an inspiration for developing the physics curriculum, is based on Goethe's phenomenological approach to the study of nature. Acknowledging that modern physicists had come to regard Goethe's ideas on physics as a "kind of nonsense," Steiner contrasts the traditional scientific approach, which treats phenomena as evidence of "natural laws," with Goethean science, which rejects the idea of an abstract law behind natural phenomena and instead seeks to be a "rational description of nature." Steiner then corrects the mechanistic reductionism practiced by scientific positivists, emphasizing instead the validity of human experience and pointing toward a revolution in scientific paradigms that would reclaim ground for the subject--the human being--in the study of nature. Once upon a time, the devil knocked up a delivery guy.Not your typical intro to a romance, but I promise, it is one. The devil in this scenario would be a sexy horned demon named Apollyon and the delivery guy would be me, Levi Curtis. Just an average guy who got in way over his head trying to keep his twin sister from selling her soul.See, in order to do unleash Hell's demonic wrath upon the earth, Apollyon needs a mortal vessel to contain the seed of his demonic army. It wasn't supposed to be a literal pregnancy, but my overactive imagination has always caused problems. Big problems, in this case. A whole Legion of 'em.I may low-key hate Apollyon, but we're gonna have to learn to tolerate each other in order to keep our little bundle of infernal joy safe and hopefully not destroy both our worlds in the process. But hey, on the plus side, you know what they say about guys with big horns. Lightbearer is an 82k fantasy mpreg romance with dark humor. This is a meta-narrative with intentional tense switching as the story jumps timelines.

When Nora first began her research on this project, she knew the story would involve an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh as she has long been fascinated by the ancient Egyptian culture. Browsing through the New York Public Library one day, she accidentally knocked a book off the shelf, which luckily turned out to be a biography of Akhenaten. His life, at first glance, appeared so alluring that she spent the next six months researching his as well as that of his wife Nefertiti. They were both incredibly enlightened and truly many years ahead of their time, in fact Akhenaten's spiritual enlightenment was said to have influenced Moses. Akhenaten and Nefertiti were also so in love with each other that Akhenaten never took another wife or concubine, something unheard of in those days. They turned out to be the perfect characters for which Nora was able to create a wonderful fantasy. Akhenaten and Nefertiti have been reincarnating together for the past 3300 years. They have been entrusted with the mission of The Lightbearers and whose responsibility, throughout their lifetimes is to be guardians of the human race and to enlighten any whose path they cross. Through reincarnation, during each of their lifetimes, they strive to overcome violence, greed and injustice and in each lifetime, leave pockets of individuals with whom they've shared their secrets of life and death. They have, as well, been ascribed with the powers of telepathy, astral projection and psychokinesis. They are highly evolved and highly enlightened. While they can predetermine their respective genders and time in which they return, they have no clue as to their identities. In order to find each other in each lifetime they must determine a place, a time and a signal by which they can identify each other as their appearance is also different. The story unfolds in the 21st century where Jean Crystal, Nefertiti's incarnate, has been kidnapped by Dr. Natas, whose plan for world domination is temporarily disrupted by Jean and her husband George, Akhenaten's incarnate. Jean and George have discovered a secret about Dr. Natas's experimental school, a school completely computerized and roboticized. When Jean and George are both assassinated, they must reincarnate again and quickly to save the world from Dr. Natas and his evil plans. In this particular lifetime, their favorite song was "Imagine" by John Lennon and so on the first Monday of October, 2024 at 12 noon, they decide to meet outside the computer science building on the UCLA campus in Los Angeles. There, she will find him sitting under a tree near the building with a guitar singing "Imagine." Together they set out on their mission. Their reunion takes place 20 years later, albeit not without a hitch.
