John McEuen is one of the founding members of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, NGDB. Now 50-years strong, the band is best known for its evergreen bestselling album Will the Circle Be Unbroken and for its gorgeous version of the song "Mr. Bojangles." McEuen is one of the seminal figures who conceived and originated the fusion of folk, rock and country, a unique sound still hugely popular today. In addition to performing on tour with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and on dozens of bestselling NGDB albums (many of which went platinum and gold), McEuen also has a successful solo performing and recording career. And as a music producer, he won the Grammy Award in 2010 for producing The Crow, a music album by Steve Martin, John's lifelong friend. McEuen writes candidly and movingly about the ups and downs in his life. Among the highs was NGDB's tour of the Soviet Union in 1977; they were the first American group to perform there. Among the downs was the breakup of his family in the 1980s. McEuen is a born storyteller, and his tales of working with everyone from Linda Ronstadt to Willie Nelson to Johnny Cash to the Allman Brothers to Bob Dylan to Dolly Parton to, of course, Steve Martin will thrill every fan of folk, rock, and country music alike.

Wise wisdom words are so inspirational. Our subconscious mind knows the truth, but our conscious mind determines what we say differently. Our path in time come from each side of our family heritage and wise wisdom words. We can all learn something new every day. As children, we all wonder about life and the reason for our being, but with the busy lifestyle, parents don’t have the time to explain in detail what we as individuals wonder about. Mostly we only get half an answer, then later in life, these questions come back at us and cause tension, arguments, and confusion put together in our minds. It’s part of how it can be done, but it’s just the tip of the iceberg. Thoughts, theories, songs, words, wisdom of the past, old-time sayings, and nursery rhymes all have meanings; and adults can explain when in the future the meaning can be used to balance out weather patterns as we go. Once we get this far, usually in our retirement, we can use the Bible verse to help us along the way. It’s all connected, and all wise words of wisdom play the biggest part nowadays.

The inspiring story of Juniper, a baby born too soon, gorgeously told by her parents, both award-winning journalists. Juniper French was born four months early, at 23 weeks' gestation. She weighed 1 pound, 4 ounces, and her twiggy body was the length of a Barbie doll. Her head was smaller than a tennis ball, her skin was nearly translucent, and through her chest you could see her flickering heart. Babies like Juniper, born at the edge of viability, trigger the question: Which is the greater act of love -- to save her, or to let her go? Kelley and Thomas French chose to fight for Juniper's life, and this is their incredible tale. In one exquisite memoir, the authors explore the border between what is possible and what is right. They marvel at the science that conceived and sustained their daughter and the love that made the difference. They probe the bond between a mother and a baby, between a husband and a wife. They trace the journey of their family from its fragile beginning to the miraculous survival of their now thriving daughter.

From Gabrielle Zevin—the author of the critically acclaimed Elsewhere—comes the first book in the Birthright series, All These Things I've Done, a masterful novel about an impossible romance, a mafia family, and the ties that forever bind us. In 2083, chocolate and coffee are illegal, paper is hard to find, water is carefully rationed, and New York City is rife with crime and poverty. And yet, for Anya Balanchine, the sixteen-year-old daughter of the city's most notorious (and dead) crime boss, life is fairly routine. It consists of going to school, taking care of her siblings and her dying grandmother, trying to avoid falling in love with the new assistant D.A.'s son, and avoiding her loser ex-boyfriend. That is until her ex is accidently poisoned by the chocolate her family manufactures and the police think she's to blame. Suddenly, Anya finds herself thrust unwillingly into the spotlight--at school, in the news, and most importantly, within her mafia family.
