Presents; the results of the Programme Equity-oriented Health Policy Analysis in Latin America conducted by the Network. The five case studies funded, in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia (two) and Uruguay, were carried out successfully and their results are set out in the from of policy makers, decision makers and researchers in the respective countries; the debates generated during the International Seminar Evaluating health systems performance - the World Health Organization report 2000, held on december 14-15, 2000, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; the final report of the Workshop on Equity and Health, held on August 28-29, 2000, in Salvador, Bahia State, Brazil, during the 6th Brazilian Collective Health Congress of the National Association of Postgraduate Studies on Collective Health (ABRASCO); the Policy Agenda: in defence of health as a citizen[vbar]s right and a public asset (AU).
