The Golden Age of Science Fiction MEGAPACKTM series focuses on unjustly forgotten science fiction writers. Horace B. Fyfe (1918-1997) was one. An engineer by trade, Fyfe also wrote a long string of popular science fiction and fantasy stories. He published extensively in genre magazines from his first appearance in "Astounding Science Fiction" (February 1940) until his last publication in "Analog" (January 1967). Sadly, Alzheimer's cut short his career, but his family stepped in to save his writing files, including more than 90 unpublished stories and an unpublished historical novel. Most of his unpublished works are in other genres, such as suspense or mainstream, but a few are lost gems, and we are delighted to present two previously unpublished tales here. Richard Wilson (1920-1987) was a Nebula Award winning American science fiction writer and fan. He was a member of the Futurians, and was at his most prolific in the 1950s -- though he continued writing throughout his entire life. This volume focuses on his science fiction (24 stories) from the 1950s, but also includes a "non fiction" ghost story and a brief autobiography written in the 1980s. Milton A. Rothman was best known to generations of science-fiction readers for a single classic story written at age 19: "Heavy Planet," published under the byline of "Lee Gregor" in 'Astounding Science Fiction' in 1939 at the beginning of the Golden Age and kept in print for decades in the classic anthology 'Adventures in Time and Space'. He was also a pioneer of early fandom, a founder of the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society, a fanzine publisher, and a World Science Fiction Convention chairman.
