Rhymes from the Heart . . . an intriguing collection of poetry that touches the very soul.

Traverse the mind of my youth through these poems. Your entire family can enjoy reading or listening to this preserved collection of my writings from 1968-1975, from 7th grade to just after high school. Some are poems, some songs, some just thoughts with a rhythmic pattern. I believe these early writings helped me to develop an appreciation for the beauty and inspirational power of the English language and positively impacted my later books and writings. While revisiting these, I observed my use of liberal literary license and an active imagination. As I traversed through these pieces, after four decades, I noticed progressive improvement in my writing as I grew up and continued to learn, play, and experiment with the English language. In order for you to observe this transition, I have presented the pieces in chronological order. The original work remains preserved, either in my own handwriting, or in the imperfect typeface of a very old ribbon typewriter. Despite factual inaccuracies in some pieces, I minimized editing to preserve the integrity of the original writing. I now make a living teaching, speaking, writing, voice acting and coaching others to achieve success through leadership and personal branding. I bring a unique interdisciplinary perspective to any conference and my quotes, interviews, and citations appear in countless media and professional publications. Poetry is valuable for stimulating the young childs brain growth. Combine poetry with fun movements and you have an effective way to actively involve children in exploring celebrations of all cultures around the world. What fun your children will have as they pretend to play musical instruments, steer a ship, look through a telescope, plant a tree, be a groundhog, fly on a broomstick, spin a dreidel, or march in a band. You can add any of the suggested small props (ribbons, small bells, maracas, miniature flags, and party hats) to the rhymes to help build large motor skills and increase the fun factor even more! A CD with the various rhymes being sung is included that provides either appropriate background music for use for singing the rhymes and/or performing the movements.

If you ever had the right opportunity in life to feel alive in love as you always dreamed, would you take it? These series of poems depict such a journey for me with a younger woman making me feel younger again with every hope and aspiration Id imagine now for then. During the same time there was its harsh reality with all its problems you might dare face, wanting to overcome more than any time in your life. It was joyous, ecstatic, inspiring, yet frustrating, depressing, and even a sense of utter hopelessness. Throughout Id cling to the faith that I wanted to be so integral to the whole dynamic; speaking often of its importance. Neither of us, no matter where we really were in all this, can remain unaffected. rh
