Fun And Easy Knitted Monster Purse

Make your own conversation piece when you knit this funky and original monster purse. Think a monster purse is a “bit much”? You can use the same design without the eyes and appendages and have a really cool fluffy purse. Still guaranteed to get you the occasional comment and looks of envy. I've made this pattern as simple as possible with the least amount of sewing necessary (my least favourite thing to do). It doesn't even need a zipper, as I designed it to have a flap to fold over and hold in your valuables securely. The pattern is fairly simple and easy to follow, but in case you have a hard time with the fluff stitch, I made a video which shows the technique entitled How to Knit the Fluff or Loop Stitch video on YouTube. In case you don't have access to wifi or are reading a printed version, I also provided pictures and descriptions on how to make the fluff stitch. The pictures are at the end of the pattern.

I really enjoy making this style of knitted slipper. I’ve found that many people like a slipper that fits a bit more snuggly and has a cuff to help keep the slipper on the foot. It adds to the coziness and security. The pattern is knitted with worsted weight yarn on one set of single pointed needles and a set of 4 double pointed needles (DPN’s). But don’t worry! I’ve provided a bunch of QR codes and links to YouTube videos that will help you along with the trickier parts like picking up the heel and cuff.
