It has been necessary during 1952 to allocate one-third of the time of Assistant District Foresters in Charge of Fire Control to management work in order to take care of all requests in a reasonable length of time. The necessity of doing this definitely shows the forward steps of forestry in Geor gia. This increased interest in timber manage ment will be reflected in an increased timber supply.
