Mr. J. H. T. Ryman departed this life at Missoula, Montana, on June 1, 1926, and Mr. James T'. Stanford at Conrad, Montana on August 10, 1926. Both of these gentlemen were well known and very capable citizens of Montana who took great interest. In the affairs of the Historical Society. The Board of Trustees reiterates the statements made in the report of December 1, 1924 as to the crowded conditions in the present quarters in the state capitol building. The constantly increasing accumulation of government, state and historical libraries of other states reports, news paper files and donations of portrait paintings, photographs, manu scripts and other historical material donated by interested pioneers add to this over crowded condition, all of these must be catalogued, indexed and room provided for. In her will probated August 2, 1922, she made Ag Miss Inman's nes Scott College her residuary legatee. It Legacy is conservatively estimated that the gift will at the present time amount to more than and her will created a life estate in that will eventually come to the College. It is one of the largest gifts ever made in the South by any woman for the cause of Christian education; and it is doubtless the largest ever made by any citizen of Atlanta for the training of young women. The friends of the College are profoundly grateful to this noble woman for her generous foundation; and it is all the more acceptable because it is to be a memorial of a former Chairman of this Board, Mr. S. After the Centennial the ladies who, as the Women's Centennial Executive Committee, had labored so efficiently for the success of the Exhibition, continued their organization under the name of the Committee of Charities. On our invitation these ladies associated themselves with this Board, in March last, as the Associate Com mittee of Women, for the purpose of assisting in furthering the work of this Institution. One of the large pavilions in the Museum has been set apart for their use, in which to maintain a national memorial of the work done by the women of the country during the Centennial. As they were particularly interested in the work of the School, three of their number were appointed a committee auxiliary to the Committee on Instruction.
