Download Dynamical Properties of Unconventional Magnetic Systems Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
Magnetism encompasses a wide range of systems and physical phenomena, and its study has posed and exposed both important fundamental problems and many practical applications. Recently, several entirely new phenomena have thus been discovered, generated through cooperative behaviour which could not have been predicted from a knowledge of `one-spin' states. At the same time, advances in sample preparation, experimental technique, apparatus and radiation sources, have led to increasing precision in the investigation and exposure of greater subtleties in magnetic thin films, multilayers and other systems. Examples of unexpected and conceptually new phenomena occur in strongly correlated and fluctuating quantum systems, producing effects such as Haldane and spin-Peierls gaps, solitons, quantum spin glasses and spin liquids. The discovery and elucidation of these `emerging properties' is a central theme in modern condensed matter physics. The present book comprises a series of chapters by world experts, covering both theoretical and experimental aspects. The approach is pedagogical and tutorial, but fully up to date, covering the latest research. The level is appropriate to graduate researchers who may either be just moving into the field or who are already active in condensed matter physics.

Download Modeling of Magnetic Particle Suspensions for Simulations Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
The main objective of the book is to highlight the modeling of magnetic particles with different shapes and magnetic properties, to provide graduate students and young researchers information on the theoretical aspects and actual techniques for the treatment of magnetic particles in particle-based simulations. In simulation, we focus on the Monte Carlo, molecular dynamics, Brownian dynamics, lattice Boltzmann and stochastic rotation dynamics (multi-particle collision dynamics) methods. The latter two simulation methods can simulate both the particle motion and the ambient flow field simultaneously. In general, specialized knowledge can only be obtained in an effective manner under the supervision of an expert. The present book is written to play such a role for readers who wish to develop the skill of modeling magnetic particles and develop a computer simulation program using their own ability. This book is therefore a self-learning book for graduate students and young researchers. Armed with this knowledge, readers are expected to be able to sufficiently enhance their skill for tackling any challenging problems they may encounter in future.

Download Coherent Dynamics of Magnetic Particles Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
This project encompassed experimental and theoretical research aimed at understanding the underlying physics of dynamically driven magnetization reversal in magnetic nanoparticles. Nanoparticle arrays comprising circular, elliptical and cylindrical dots were patterned by e-beam lithography. The samples were characterized by AEM, MFM and dc magnetization measurements, and their dynamic properties determined by ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) measurements. Detailed numerical solutions of the micromagnetic equations of motion have explored the origin of the peaks observed in the FMR spectrum of the ferromagnetic arrays.

Download Nanoparticles’ Preparation, Properties, Interactions and Self-Organization Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
This book defines the concept of nanoparticles from the point of view of statistical physics and quantum physics. It gives an overview of their basic properties and of the basic methods of their preparation. The chapters are devoted to the problems of interactions between nanoparticles from elementary van der Waals interaction to Lifchitz macroscopic theory and Hamaker microscopic summation method. It elucidates the process of self-organization of nanoparticles released from the frozen liquid dispersion at the sublimation interface and mathematical simulations of the corresponding processes. It also presents applications of a completely new controlled sublimation technology.
