Growing up Travis was easily distracted by the smallest things. No one could figure out why he could not focus on the task at hand. He had a very difficult time multitasking and could not connect with other kids. After years of questions the answer as to why his life was so difficult was because he was autistic. Every little distraction took him off task which caused problems with school work. By the time he had reached middle school he was so distracted with trying to understand the social world around him that he stopped doing his homework. As a result his grades began to slide. It would take years before anyone would realize that he was autistic and he was so focused on his social surroundings that he could not do his own school work. Diagnosed with autism now Travis eliminates his distractions by focusing in on his special interest areas in life. In school the special interest was playing the trombone. Today the special interest is dating and women. Follow Travis as he navigates life with autism in this informative book about living with autism spectrum disorder.

After leaving the city for a quieter life in the town of Sunridge, population 5,428, Rory Finch is regretting his life choices. While his partner Gabe gets more and more distant, Rory feels it all slipping away from him: time, happiness, and his career. After another argument, Rory drives away, unsure of his destination. An empty gas tank leads him to the only thing still open in town, a bar. There, he meets the beautiful, young Danny Weber. Danny has lived in Sunridge his entire life. He's pleasant, relaxed, and completely fine with just being friends if that's what Rory wants. However, as their friendship grows, so too do Rory's feelings for Danny. Although Rory continues to tell himself that they are only friends, he's more than aware of the looming decision he's going to have to make: commit himself to rekindling his relationship with Gabe, or throw it all away and start over.

Kevin Carlson, born in 1978, lives in the beautiful desert of the southwestern United States in Tucson, Arizona. Kevin is like other people except he has autism. Like other people, Kevin has fun in his free time; he has an interest in such things as drawing and listening to music. Unfortunately, Kevin's autism doesn't allow him to take complete care of himself. He has trouble with or cannot perform certain tasks most adults take for granted such as driving a car or making reservations for dinner, for example. Presently, he lives in an assisted living environment with an autistic roommate and has a job at Sage, a crafts store which employs the handicapped and is supervised by non-handicapped personnel. Kevin enjoys art, his job, time with family and is a happy person even though he has autism. Visit his Web site at www.kevincarlson.info.
