The book - My Guitar Method Book 1, has been written for the beginner with a teacher as a guide. Different from most of the classical guitar methods, My Guitar Method is a practical approach method to guitar playing, which is to learn a simple system of notation for guitar without the need for long verbal explanation and theory at the beginning. The system is known as “tablature” or “ TAB” – which has been using in various forms since the sixteen century. From the method, students will be first trained with standard fingering plucking and exercise with a more efficient method, in order to provide them with general basic on-finger skills for further progression. After a few technique lessons for both hands, the student will start learning how to read standard notation and apply it to guitar playing. The book also provides some basic theory, simple chord strumming, and sight-reading exercise. Anyway, none of the method will suite to all types of students, they are always encouraged to refer others method which is recommended by their instructor in a different level. My hope is that all the learners of this book will have an enjoyable and meaningful experience.
