Anything, therefore, that will help the children find their place in the coming work of the world is worth while, and what work can compare with that of winning the world for Christ? It was to interest children, first in the wonderful lives of the missionaries themselves, and then in their great work - the greatest work in the world - that these Story-Sermons were written. They grew out of a felt need in my own church work. Leaders of Mission Bands and Lightbearer Circles and teachers of Sunday-school classes were at a loss to discover a method of approach to the missionary problem.
