Final management plan for the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary, providing information on the Sanctuary's environment and resources, staffing and administration, regulations and boundary, operational and programmatic costs, priority management issues and the actions proposed to address them, and performance measures. Includes action plans for public awareness, conservation science, boundary evaluation, water quality, emergency response and enforcement, maritime heritage, resource protection, operations, and performance evaluation. The plan is a major revision of the original 1983 plan under which the Sanctuary previously operated. The Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) is Volume II of the set. Volume II of the Final Management Plan for the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary, evaluating the potential environmental impact of the Sanctuary's proposed actions. Describes proposed actions and alternative actions, and incorporates changes made to the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) in response to public and agency comments received on the DEIS in 2006, and on the Supplemental DEIS in 2008.
