This book provides the genealogical connection of the Frey, Sander and extended families. The genealogical record is traced from the late 1500’s of central Europe to the Russian Steppes near what is now Odessa Ukraine and finally to the Prairies of North America. Brief historical descriptions are included to provide some insight into the reasons why the families relocated. The major part of the book traces the ancestral lines through the years and includes church and civil records as genealogical prime sources.

Everyone of us is who and where we are today because of the efforts and decisions of those who came before us -- our ancestors. This book traces the history of nine of my ancestral families, from their small farming villages in Germany, through the wrenching decision to leave cherished roots in Europe, to the planting of new roots in southern Indiana. The book is intended primarily for members of my family, but others may find some interest in a small microcosm of the American experience.

The overlap between the worldviews of these individuals and the texts from the German mystics makes clear that even for such noted individuals as Goethe, Planck, Einstein, and Heisenberg, nothing that exists on earth, in the microcosm, or in the universe would be conceivable in the absence of a Creator Spirit.
