It considers a range of policies (including tax and benefit policies, childcare, employment and workplace practices) which can help influence trends relating to the participation of working parents in the labour market and family formation in the UK, Canada, Finland and Sweden, as well as discussing options for policy reform which seek to balance work and family commitments.
