This book of Proceedings presents the latest thinking and research in the rapidly evolving world of architecture and sustainable development through 255 selected papers by authors coming from over 60 countries.

This book gathers high-quality research papers presented at the 2nd AUE international research conference, AUEIRC 2018, which was organized by the American University in the Emirates, Dubai, and held on November 13th-15th, 2018. The book is broadly divided into two main sections: Sustainability and Smart Business, and Sustainability and Creative Industries. This book showcases cutting-edge research papers from the 9th International Conference on Research into Design (ICoRD 2023) – the largest in India in this area – written by eminent researchers from across the world on design processes, technologies, methods and tools, and their impact on innovation, for supporting design for a connected world. The 2016 International Conference on Civil, Architecture and Environmental Engineering (ICCAE 2016), November 4-6, 2016, Taipei, Taiwan, is organized by China University of Technology and Taiwan Society of Construction Engineers, aimed to bring together professors, researchers, scholars and industrial pioneers from all over the world. ICCAE 2016 is the premier forum for the presentation and exchange of experience, progress and research results in the field of theoretical and industrial experience. The conference consists of contributions promoting the exchange of ideas between researchers and educators all over the world.
