N o startling novelties have been introduced at the same time, where it was thought that a change would be an improve ment, it has been made. It was felt that a work on this subject, of a higher grade, and more suited to the wants of higher seminaries, and more advanced students, without detracting from its simplicity and prac tical character, was wanted, and the aim has been to supply this want; while, at the same time, its relation to the series of which it is intended to form a part, has not only been preserved, but rendered more close and intimate.
