MOUNTAIN WISDOM: Mountain Folk is a collection of Home Remedies, Superstitions, Beauty Tips, Dream Interpretations, Rhymes, Riddles, and Weather Predictions. It comes from notes and such recorded by author Judith Victoria Hensley over the last thirty plus years while listening to people talk from Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia. A native Appalachian, Hensley wrote down the "mountain wisdom" as she heard it and has also compiled an enormous collection of vintage photos. MOUNTAIN WISDOM: Mountain Folk is chock full of interesting and downright outrageous authentic Appalachian knowledge; and let's face it, some of it is pretty doggoned funny, too. Readers everywhere will benefit from Hensley's work.

Allah created the earth and then bestowed on man His favor to extract sustenance from it. He also creates the sun moon and the stars to create a just equilibrium and harmony in the universe. The sun provides energy for the growth, sustenance and wellbeing of the humans’ plants and the animals. Gradually man began to extract more than his personal needs from the earth and the boom of economics, trade and commerce started, creating, cycle’s imbalance, disharmony, wars, poverty, and injustice throughout the globe. This disharmony caused by greed not only blemished the humans, but the animal life also suffered by disappearance of species. Pollution and contamination of the environment resulted from race to accumulate and hoard the world’s wealth in a few hands. Man, disobeyed Allah’s universal laws and Allah’s Covenant. In return for all of Allah’s favors Allah commands: Justice, Al-‘Adl. Justice, fairness honesty, integrity and even-handed dealings are a prerequisite of every Muslim’s conduct when dealing with others whether socially or in business transaction Doing what is good and that is beautiful. Al-Ihsan. This attribute includes every positive quality such as goodness, beautiful, pleasing, harmony. Human beings have an obligation to do what is wholesome and beautiful in their relationship with Allah and His creatures. Provide for those near to you, qurba and kith and kin. Help them with wealth, kindness, compassion, humanity, and sympathy. Allah forbids Al-Fahasha, all evil deeds, lies, false testimony, fornication, selfishness, ingratitude, greed, and false belief. One must fulfill the Covenant of Allah and who so ever does beautiful and righteous deeds Allah will give him or her new life and reward them with greater wages. Allah commands justice, the doing of good and liberality to kith and kin and He forbids all shameful deeds and injustice and rebellion: He instructs you, that ye may receive admonition. Fulfill the Covenant of Allah when ye have entered into it and break not your covenants after ye have confirmed them: indeed, ye have made Allah your surety; for Allah knows all that you do. (Qur’an 16:90-91)ô Whoever works righteousness, man or woman and has Faith, verily, to him will We give a new Life, a life that is good and pure and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best their actions. (Qur’an16:97) Tawhid the main pillar off Islam signifies that human’s economic life depends wholly on Allah’s Laws of the universe that their relationship to those who believe is through the obedience to the Covenant of Allah. Allah maintains in the Qur’an that there is no creature on earth the responsibility of whose sustenance is not assumed by Allah. No creature crawls on earth that Allah does not nourish. He knows its essential nature and its varying forms; every detail has its place in the obvious plan. (Qur’an 11:6) How are the people in need provided for their sustenance and needs of daily lives? All wealth belongs to Allah who bestows it on some persons more than others. This wealth is given in trust, whereby the possessor is obliged to give the surplus in Allah’s cause, to his kin, to the widows and orphans and to the needy first in his community and then in the other communities around him. Wealth is to be shared so that not a single individual of the Ummah, or indeed in the world should go hungry or without education and shelter.

The job of a mouse is to read and collect books while also learning important things. Little Bio: Even though most mice like to chase cheese, Milo stands out because he is small and always wants to know more. Milo's heart beats for the endless worlds and experiences that can only be found in books. His love of reading makes him feel like taking risks, which pushes him to leave his comfort zone. Milo wants to share the magic of words and stories with everyone he meets, so his search for information and stories is more than just a personal one. Milo faces many difficulties on his travels. Each one, however, is a chance to teach him how to be brave, friendly, and smart. The stories he brings back from his trips make the lives of those who go with him better. People from different worlds can connect with each other through their love stories on Milo's trips. The journey of Milo shows how reading and asking questions can change your life. He shows us that even the smallest of us can go on the biggest trips with just a book and an open heart. His story makes people think, explore, and find new things. It shows how reading and being creative can open up a world of options. Summary: Milo is a little mouse who wants to read more than he wants cheese. The sweet story "The Mouse Who Loved Reading" tells his story. Milo's love of reading takes him on an adventure and exploration trip in a world where his friends are happy with the small pleasures of everyday life. This shows that being brave and able to dream big are not limited by one's size. Milo starts a trip that takes him not only into the lovely real-world scenery around his cozy library, but also into the endless worlds of books full of information and ideas. Milo's adventures take him over a scary mountain that shows him how to keep going until you reach your goal, across a river that teaches him how important it is to be creative, through a forest where the light of one friend drives out the darkness, and with animals of all sizes who teach him the value of being smart, brave, and asking the right questions. Milo learns that the smallest things can have the biggest effects and that help can come from the strangest places as he makes friends along the way who will become his most valuable possession. Milo has to deal with problems that are as different as the places he travels through: the raging waters of a strong river, the eerie quiet of a forest in the dark, and the busy chaos of a city that seems too big for a mouse his size. Milo grows mentally and spiritually as he gets past each obstacle. He learns that friendship is the brightest light in the darkest times and that courage is the will to keep going even when you're scared. By the end of his journey, Milo learns that the best times are those he shares with his loved ones, that are funny, and that are based on the magic of the stories he loves. "The Mouse Who Loved Reading" is a praise for our natural desire to learn, our bravery in facing our fears, and the stories that connect us. We learn that the most beautiful things in life are the ones that help us understand ourselves and the world around us better. Chapter 1: Finding Milo A beautiful, old library stood in a quiet little town where the sun was softly shining on the roofs. Along the length of the room, shelves rose almost to the roof and were piled high with books of all shapes and sizes. Milo, the little mouse, also thought this library was a great place for people. Milo was not like other mice. The other kids were looking for cheese and crumbs quickly, but Milo was thinking about something much more amazing. He came out of his small hole in the wall one cold evening, just as the library lights went out and the last few people left. He softly tapped his little paws on the wood, and his beautiful, curious eyes sparkled with joy. He knew he had to find the place where a lot of stories were said to be true. Milo was wondering when he found a pretty spot that looked like it sparkled softly from the moonlight coming in through a window. One of the chairs had a book propped up on it. This book wasn't like any other. It was big, and the cover sparkled with magic and dust. Milo's heart rate went up a little. He had discovered the way to open up new thoughts, feelings, and ideas. It was hard for Milo to sit down and open the book. He was committed no matter what, even if the pages were bigger than he was. He was taken on trips he had never imagined by the beautiful words and pictures he saw as he turned the pages. When he read stories about faraway places, brave heroes, mysterious animals, and exciting events, his heart raced. Milo thought it was interesting. By turning the leaves of books, he found that he could go anywhere, meet anyone, and learn anything. He became more and more excited about stories with each page he turned.
